Charters has been in business since 1979 and is the oldest charter company
in South Florida. All of our yachts are meticulously maintained. We offer
personalized service, from reservations to chart briefings and mechanical
checkouts. You will be dealing with the owners of the company every step
of the way. New yachts are available as well as more economically priced
“seasoned” yachts. Dinghy and outboard are always included.
Excellent charter destinations are available from our Ft. Lauderdale base.
Bimini, Grand Bahamas, Dry Tortugas, Key West, Miami Beach, are just a few
of the destinations available.
This
is one of the most often asked questions. Our normal cruising grounds cover
coastal Florida and the northern Bahamas. From our Ft. Lauderdale base,
on a one-week charter, you can easily sail through the Florida Keys as far
as Marathon and then back to Ft. Lauderdale. If you want to spend more time
in the Lower Keys you can drop off your yacht in Marathon or Key West for
an additional fee. During a one-week charter to the Bahamas you can easily
sail the Bimini Island Chain or Grand Bahama Island including Port Lucaya.
There is an option for pre-positioning your boat anywhere in the Florida
Keys for an additional fee. The Dry Tortugas and Fort Jefferson are accessible
from our Ft. Lauderdale base during longer charters. You may also sail to
the Dry Tortugas and Key West during a one-week charter if you use the pre-positioning
and/or drop off option. From our Ft. Lauderdale Base the destinations such
as the Abacos, the Berry Islands, Nassau and others require a recommended
minimum of 10 Days. We also offer long term charters with unlimited destinations.

Experience
is the qualifying factor. We are interested in how much you have sailed
in the last 5 years. Sailing school certification is a plus but is not a
substitute for time on the water. We will ask you some questions about your
sailing experience and we do require you to fill out our Resume Form. We
also request 3 references, which are non-family and non-crew. We ask you
to include their complete addresses so that we can mail them a questionnaire
to be returned to us. If there are any lingering doubts we may ask you to
demonstrate your ability when you arrive at our facility. Coast Guard Licensed
Captains are available for the first day or the full term of your charter.

with your experience and skill level.

All prices are based on a one-week charter, 7 days, 12 Noon to 12 Noon. There is a 3-day minimum on any charter less than a week. For rates less than 7 days divide the weekly rate by 6 and multiply by the number of days chartering. For rates more than 7 days divide the weekly rate by 7.
You may sleep aboard prior to your day of departure for a fee of $200.00 or $300.00 depending on the boat. This is subject to availability.
There is an option for pre-positioning a boat anywhere in the Florida Keys, as well as dropping off for an additional fee of $850.00.
For example, a boat
delivered to Marathon Key from Ft. Lauderdale for Pre-positioning has an
additional $850 Pre-positioning Fee as long as it is returned to Ft. Lauderdale.
If the boat is not returned to Ft. Lauderdale there will be an additional
$850.00 Drop Off Fee. Please call for specific information on Pre-positioning
Fees and Drop Off Fees for all locations.
